Terms of Use
Last updated October 17, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Onur Ulusoy for using Ashmate. By creating an account you accept them.
The service
Ashmate lets you keep notes about places and dishes and share them with people you trust. It is free and in an early test phase: features may change, be interrupted, or end, and the service is provided as it is.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and use one account per person.
- You are responsible for what happens with your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used it.
Your content
You keep the rights to the notes, photos, and lists you post. You allow Onur Ulusoy to store, display, and share them as your visibility settings say, only to run Ashmate. This permission ends when you delete the content, except for backups kept up to 30 days.
Only post photos you are allowed to share, and notes that reflect your own experience.
Rules
Follow the Community Guidelines. In particular, do not post anything illegal, harass people, publish fake or paid reviews without saying so, impersonate others, send spam, collect data from Ashmate automatically, or attack or overload the service.
Moderation
You can report content and block accounts. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law. If you think we made a mistake, write to [email protected] and we will review it.
Place information from Google
Place names, addresses, opening hours, ratings, and photos come from Google Maps. Their use is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service (https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/) and the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). We cannot guarantee that this information is correct or current.
Liability
Ashmate is a free service. As far as the law allows, Onur Ulusoy is not liable for indirect damage, lost data, or decisions you make based on content in the app. Liability for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health, and any liability that cannot be excluded by law, remains unaffected.
Ending
You can stop using Ashmate at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may end the service or your access with reasonable notice, or immediately for serious breaches.
Changes and applicable law
If we change these terms we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect; if you keep using Ashmate after that, the new terms apply. These terms are governed by the law of the country where Onur Ulusoy is established; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply.
